 Appearance: A goldendoodles look ranges from straight to curly hair and everything in between. Most goldendoodles have a shaggy look and their hair continues to grow so they will need to be groomed. Most goldendoodles are medium to large dogs but they do come in smaller sizes as well. Their body type is stockier then a poodle but not as stocky as a retriever they are usually taller then retrievers!
Height: 20-29"
Weight: 45-90 lbs
Temperament: Goldendoodles are amazing family oriented dogs and are happiest when they are with people. They are very social and great with children and other pets! They are very intelligent, love to play and are very affectionate! They like to swim and play fetch and loves to please their owners! The best way to describe a goldendoodle is " a goofy little person in a fur coat"
Health: Goldendoodles are know as hybrid's which means they will grow healthier and live longer than either parent line. The only genetic diseases they can be prone to would be those shared by both the Golden Retriever and the Standard Poodle. No Major Concerns. Minor Concerns - CHD, PRA, VonWillebrand's, Elbow and patella disorders. Breeders should be completeing all health testing on the parents. These tests include - hips, elbows, eye, heart, thyroid and vWD
Living Conditions: They are happies living indoors with a family
Exercise: Most doodles need 3-4 walks/day but every dog is different
Life Expectancy: 12-15years
Origin: A Goldendoodle is a Golden Retriever and Poodle cross. Goldendoodles have been in North America and Australia since the mid-1990's.
Registries: They are not a registered breed as of yet.

Carriage House Goldendoodle puppies is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We are dedicated to raising quality Goldendoodle puppies. We do not have a kennel based program. We are purposefully small so that all of our dogs can be raised in our home as part of our family. Our moms are never alone during labor and delivery. The puppies are handled with love and care from the moment they are born. All puppies come with a one year health guarantee and a lifetime of support.
